Hello, my name is Ignacio Van Droogenbroeck, and I welcome you to my blog.
I've been in the IT world for 20 years, working professionally. I've been part of very small companies as well as large ones like Microsoft, Telefónica, Licencias OnLine, Westcon Comstor, Netlabs, Portainer, InfluxData, and I even ran my own startup called Voltmetrix.
I love learning—luckily, I learn quickly—and most of all, I enjoy sharing what I learn, which is... pretty much everything you see on this blog. If something is here, it's because I've tested or worked with that technology.
I focus a lot on Python, Data, Linux, Observability, Containers, and Automation through technologies like Terraform.
As I write this in 2024, just about to turn 39, I'm at a point where I need to decide how to continue with my life. Technology will always be part of me, but I’d also like to start exploring other things. A few months ago, I bought a drone, a DJI Mini 2 SE, and I've been creating Drone Tours that you can check out on my YouTube channel, which is also evolving since I believe it’s time to make space for younger people to speak about technology with the intensity, speed, and resources that are required these days.
